Daguerreotype Case's
This particular case was made by Litchfield, Parsons & Co. manufactors of the Union Cases. They are the sole proprietors of the Union Case. Patented in Oct 14, 1856 and again in April 21, 1857. The cases contained a picture that as actually a double negative picture onto a piece of glass. The case was made of celluloid and were hinged.
